This document an example of how to apply the LEARN tool to produce a forest and trees-focused GHG inventory in compliance with the US Community Protocol for Accounting and Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Appendix J: Forest and Trees protocol.

This report summarizes the impact of carbon sequestration and forest disturbances such as fire, harvesting, and changes in tree canopy in Montgomery County from 2001 to 2019. The report calculates the emissions and net impacts of these activities to inform the City and County's future GHG goals, policies and practices.
